Prepping for GSAC Championships in Azusa, CA on April 27 and 28

 

On Saturday, April 14, the Concordia men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, hosted by Pomona College in Claremont, CA. 

In the women's 100 Meter Dash, where there were a total of 76 runners, the Eagles' Samantha Moser placed 19th with a final time of 12.79.  Moser placed 28th in the 200 Meter Dash.  Her final time was 25.96.  On the men's side of both these events, Trey Williams placed 18th (out of 86 runners) in the 100 Meter Dash, and 15th (out of 79 runners) in the 200 Meter Dash.  His final times were 11.07 and 22.15, respectively.  Williams' time in the 100 marked his personal best.  Bryan Harkins placed 25th in both those events for Concordia, with final times of 11.19 and 22.75.  He recorded his personal best in the 200.  In the women's 1500 Meter Run, CU's Arielly Conde placed 25th (out of 108 runners) with a final time of 4:49.70.  CU's Jordan Baker placed 11th (out of 37) in the women's 100 Meter Hurdles, and placed 13th (out of 38) in the 400 Meter Hurdles.  Her final times were 15.61 and 64.74, respectively.            

Emily Ramey set a personal best with a throw of 9.46 m in the women's Shot Put.  Olugbenga Eshugbohungbe marked his personal best with a time of 23.63 in the men's 200 Meter Dash.

"It was another great weekend for our athletes as we continue to improve," head coach Jim Brewer said.  "We are looking forward to the GSAC Championships in two weeks."
