The GSAC has had another highly successful season as seen in the 2012 NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup Standings. As of May 31, the GSAC had 6 teams in the Top 25, led by Azusa Pacific in first place. The final standings will be released on June 13. Concordia, led by NAIA Coach of the Year Ken Ammann, won the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Championship to bring the total of NAIA Championships won by GSAC schools to 41. A complete list of GSAC national champions can be seen at About the GSAC. Concordia's Dan Fisher and Brooke Marino were named NAIA Volleyball Coach and Player of the Year, respectively. In non-GSAC sports, conference members had top performances. Azusa Pacific was a quarterfinalist in the NAIA Football Championship. Azusa Pacific's Victoria Martinez was the Most Valuable Performer as Azusa Pacific won the NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship MeetFresno Pacific was the NAIA Women's Swimming & Diving Champion, followed by Concordia in fourth and Azusa Pacific in fifth, and in Men's Swimming & Diving, Fresno Pacific and Concordia earned the second and third places, respectively. Ken Dory of Concordia and Peter Richardson of Fresno Pacific were selected as the NAIA Men's and Women's Coaches of the Year, respectively. Fresno Pacific's Cheyenne Coffman was the Women's Swimmer of the Meet and Outstanding Meet Performer. For the second time, Christine Runkle earned the women's diving Outstanding Performer, while fellow Eagle Chris Salgado captured his first-ever men's diving Outstanding Performer honor.
