The #18 Concordia Eagles lost in heartbreaking fashion at #2 Concordia (OR) on Friday, September 7 in Portland, OR.  The home Cavaliers scored the winning goal at 92:59, two minutes into the first overtime, to win 2-1.

Kaylynn Winwood headed in a pass from Jenna Peterson on a free kick to seal the win for the home team and extract some revenge from 2011, where CU won 2-1 at home.

Concordia (OR) scored the first goal on Friday night at the 25:29 mark when Hannah Scott finished a pass from a free kick to put CUOR up 1-0.  The Eagles tied it up at 75:14 when Megan Daniels fought her way through defenders on an assist from Lindsay Tackett.  It was Daniels' third of the year.  Concordia (CA) could not find another goal as they pushed the talented Cavaliers to the limit.

Concordia (OR) outshot their California counterparts 16-9 and 6-2 in shots on goal.  Bekah Garvin had four saves for CU as she dropped to 2-2 on the season.

The Eagles fell to 2-2 in 2012, and the Concordia Cavaliers improved to 5-0.  The Eagles are back in action on Sunday at 12 pm against (RV) Southern Oregon on the campus of Concordia (OR).
