The #7 Concordia Eagles bounced back from a tie to Concordia (OR) the night before to defeat Warner Pacific (OR), 3-0, on Saturday afternoon, September 8 in Portland.

 

Christian Ramirez netted his fifth of the year at 26:33 when he took a pass from William Prado and scored from six yards out.  The play featured a nice combo of touch passes by CU to take the 1-0 lead.  Just before halftime Joel Palomares scored his first goal of the year when he headed home a loose ball unassisted.  Jordon Long made it 3-0 Eagles at 63:20 when he received a ball past the goalkeeper and scored his first of the year.

Julio Trejo started in goal for CU and played all 90 minutes, recording three saves, to improve to 4-0-1 on the year.  CU outshot WPC 22-6 and 11-3 in shots on goal. 

"Overall I feel this team is moving in the right direction," Concordia head coach Chris Gould said.  "We know we will get every team's best effort and that is something this group will be looking forward to."
