Concordia goalkeepers Julio Trejo and Bekah Garvin were selected GSAC Defensive Players of the Week for men's and women's soccer on Monday, September 17.  Both were winners last week as well and both of Concordia's squads went 1-0 last week with wins over Cal State San Marcos.

Defensive Player of the Week

BEKAH GARVIN

Concordia University

Bekah Garvin held No. 12-ranked Cal State San Marcos scoreless in No. 18 Concordia's 1-0 overtime upset victory. The senior goalkeeper recorded her third shutout of the season and expanded her Concordia career record to 25 shutouts and 31 wins. She also had five saves in the game. Garvin is currently third in the conference with a .83 goals against average.

Concordia University

Julio Trejo of Concordia notched his second individual shutout of the season against Cal State San Marcos. He had three saves in the game. The junior goalie is ranked 11th in the nation and leads the GSAC with a .54 goals against average. He has only allowed three goals all season after 502 minutes in goal.
