The #6 Concordia Eagles picked up their third road win of 2012 as they remained a perfect 3-0 in conference, defeating The Master's 6-1 in Santa Clarita, CA on Tuesday, October 2.

 

Edgar Orozco got in going for the Eagles just 8:25 in when he took a pass from William Prado and Neil Anaya for his fourth goal of the year.  Senior Jose Tamayo made the halftime score 2-0 CU when he finished a penalty kick at 38:17.

Ten minutes into the second half Christian Ramirez scored his team-leading 12th goal on an assist from Neil Anaya.  Anaya now has 10 dimes on the year, best in the conference.  Three minutes later The Master's got their lone goal of the day when Austin Rochow scored unassisted.  CU's William Prado scored his 10th goal of the year at 69:51 on a Jacob Young assist.  Prado and Ramirez share the team lead with 27 points each.

At 86:46 Manny Plascencia scored his fourth in 2012 from William Velasquez.  Two minutes later Velasquez and Plascencia traded roles for the 6-1 win.

"It was a good team performance today and I am happy with the result," Concordia head coach Chris Gould said.  "We are looking forward to preparing for San Diego Christian on Saturday."

Concordia outshot TMC 13-3 and 8-1 in shots on goal.  CU goalkeeper Julio Trejo stayed perfect with the win, going to 9-0-1.  Concordia senior William Prado is one assist shy of tying the all-time school mark of 26.

The Eagles (9-1-1, 3-0 GSAC) are back in action on Saturday, October 6 at San Diego Christian at 2:30 pm.
