Concordia's track teams competed this past weekend in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, OH. The men competed in six events and the women competed in fourteen events.

In the Women's 5000 Meter Run, senior, Rocio Pelayo placed second crossing the finish line at 17:55.46, earning her first track and field NAIA All-American finish.

Trey Williams finished 14th in the 200 meter dash and eighth in the 600 meter dash with a time of 1:20.92, earning NAIA All-American status.

Senior, Rick Avila competed in the 3000 Meter Run taking third with a time of 8:22.86 and earning his first track and field NAIA All-American nod.

Sophomore, Arielly Conde, freshman, Kailey Cumming, freshman, Jessica Marquardt, and sophomore, Laura Pluemer completed the Women's 4x800 Meter Relay in eighteenth place with a combined time of 9:39.41.

Completing the Women's Distance Medley at 12:39.96 was senior, Rocio Pelayo, junior, Emily Ramey, sophomore, Arielly Conde, and freshman, Jessica Marquardt, finishing in seventeenth place.

Sophomore, Julia Townsend competed in the Women's 3000 Meter Race Walk, taking 15th place with a time of 17:32.51.

Competing in the Men's 1 Mile Run was junior, Joshua Gomez, finishing 14th. Senior, Caleb McCurry competed in the Men's Shot Put, finishing ninth, and Men's Weight Throw, taking 16th with a distance of 15.88m.

The Eagles start their outdoor season on March 14th at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego, CA.
