IRVINE, CA --- Despite a semifinal exit from the GSAC Men's Soccer Postseason Tournament, the NAIA's No. 9-ranked Concordia has drawn an at-large berth in the NAIA National Championships, it was announced Sunday.

The Eagles (12-6-1) draw the No. 9 seed in the tournament, and host Concordia (Ore.), in the 2008 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round Saturday (Nov. 22) at 2 p.m.

Concordia (Ore.) earned an automatic bid to the Opening Round after earning the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament with a road win over College of Idaho in the final round of the conference tournament Nov. 12.

Concordia (Ore.) brings in a 14-5-1 season record into Saturday's showdown, but is 0-3 all-time in NAIA National Championships play.

Runners-up to 2007 National Champion Azusa Pacific, the Eagles are 3-3 all-time at the NAIA National Championships, and earned a 1-0 victory over Concordia (Ore.) the only other time the two teams have met, in 2003.

The winner of Saturday's matchup will advance to the 50th Annual Men's Soccer National Championships site in Fresno, Dec. 1-6.
