Pulido finished 28th with a time of 26:22.70 to lead the men
IRVINE, Calif. -- Rocio Pelayo again made an impressive showing for the NAIA's No. 8-ranked Concordia women's cross country team, shaving over 10 seconds off her time last week, as the Eagle women finished seventh at the UC Irvine Invitational.

Pelayo finished in a time of 18:19.40, good for 10th on the afternoon, and five additional Eagle women finished in the top 100, with Yanley Estrada posting a 36th-place time of 19:00.10. The men finished 10th.

Violet Mokaya (18:44.70) finished 25th and Yanley Estrada posted a time of 19:00.10 to finish 36th, while Aybuke Kizilarslan (19:03.30) finished 40th. Cyntia Rios placed 51st with a mark of 19:12.90, while April Harris (19:56.00) and Amy Lund (20:22.90) placed 79th and 100th, respectively.

Meanwhile, Anthony Pulido finished with a 28th-place time of 26:22.70 to lead the NAIA's No. 5 men's team, while Guillermo Cazares (27:04.10) finished in 45th. The men were rounded out by Joseph Lopez (29:14.20), Joseph Pluff (29:24.30) and Jarid Rollins (29:41.30) finished 112th, 114th and 117th, respectively.

The team next competes in the UC Riverside Invitational Sept. 27.
