Concordia's #13 ranked women's tennis team competed this past Wednesday, March 26th against Whitworth (WA) on the CU Campus. The Eagles took a clean sweep and defeated Whitworth 9-0. 

In singles matches sophomore, Mona Piller (SO/Huenenberg, Switzerland) won her match against Taylor Pena 6-2, 6-2. Saryn Mooney fell to senior, Summer Beaird (SR/Long Beach, CA) in a 6-7, 6-4, 10-7 match. Junior, Ulrike Hahn (JR/Gondelsheim, Germany) defeated competitor Bella Hoyos 6-0, 6-3. Anabelle Burns lost the match 6-0, 6-3 to junior, Ellie Johnson (JR/Upland, CA). Sophomore, Caitlyn Uzzi (SO/Coto de Caza, CA) took the match away from Morgan McDivitt in a 5-7, 7-5, 10-4 match. Sophomore, Kristin Lampe (SO/Fresno, CA) won 3-6, 6-0, 11-9 against Whitworth's KC McConnell. 

In double matches duo Piller and Hahn defeated competitors Taylor Pena and Mooney 8-3. Falling short to Beaird and Johnson was Burns and Hoyos losing the match 8-3. Uzzi and Lampe took the match 8-5 against McConnell and McDivitt 8-5. 

The Eagles improved 4-7. Concordia's women's tennis team will be back on the court Monday, March 31st in Costa Mesa, CA where they will take on Hope International University in the second half of the GSAC schedule.
