BAKERSFIELD, CA --- Danielle
O'Toole scored seven goals, including the game-winner in the final
second of Concordia's, 8-7, victory over Cal State Monterey Bay, as the
Eagles split a pair of games at the Roadrunner Tournament.
O'Toole's last-second tally improves the Eagles to 2-3 on the season, and somewhat-avenged Concordia's 19-5 defeat to the nation's No. 7-ranked UC Davis earlier in the day.
The Eagles had trailed the Otters, at 7-6 coming into the final period, but O'Toole netted the game-tying goal with 4:53 left on the clock to set the stage for her dramatic game-winner.
O'Toole was joined by Sam Gelberger as the team's only goalscorers in the win, as Gelberger scored once in the first period and three more times in period three.
O'Toole's three goals in the earlier loss were complimented by a goal apiece from Gelberger and Gimena Altamirano.
Concordia next plays at NAIA foe California Baptist Tuesday (Feb. 17) starting at 3 p.m. in Riverside.
