RIVERSIDE, CA --- Concordia scored eight goals in the third period to break a 6-6 halftime tie, as Sam Gelberger and Danielle O'Toole each netted six goals in a 17-11 Eagle victory over Cal State San Bernardino Saturday morning.

The win gives the Eagles a record of 7-8, while the Coyotes fall to 7-14.

Gelberger and O'Toole combined for five goals in the opening period, but Gelberger's 6-on-5 goal was the only Concordia score in the second period, as the Coyotes came back to tie the score at 6-6 on Marilyn Doughty's only tally of the game.

Eagle goalie Lauren Biberston notched five of her six saves in the second half to keep Cal State San Bernardino at arm's legnth, as O'Toole's second score of the fourth quarter gave the Eagles a 17-9 advantage with just under five minutes to play.

Pelin Chalayan and Alex Barnes each chipped in two goals, while Melissa DiGregorio scored her only goal of the game in the third-quarter rally.

Cal State San Bernardino was led by four goals from Emily Hove, who was complimented by two goals apiece from Kaitlin Hartman and Kelsey Morino. Doughty, Jennifer Goetz and Kayla Barrow each scored one goal in the Coyote loss.

Bryanna Burns finished with six saves for the Coyotes.

Concordia, which downed George Washington by a score of 13-8 yesterday afternoon, plays at University of Redlands this afternoon at 4 p.m.
