IRVINE, CA ---Concordia's
leading goalscorer, Danielle O'Toole, was permanently ejected in the
second period, and the Eagles' offensive game suffered, in a 11-5 loss
to California Baptist at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center Tuesday
afternoon.
Concordia takes its third-straight loss to the Lancers, and ends the regular season at 9-13, while California Baptist improves to 18-16.
Goalie Lauren Biberston turned in a
solid effort, nabbing nine saves on the afternoon, but Pelin Chalayan was Concordia's only player to score multiple goals, notching two tallies while Alex Barnes, Sam Gelberger and Tuesday Schellinger each chipped in a goal.
The Lancers were led by four goals from Jennifer Grutz, while Collette Brown netted three goals to account for the bulk of California Baptist's scoring.
Emily Brown grabbed eight saves in the win for California Baptist.
The Eagles next play April 17 at the CWPA/NAIA Invitational at the Lancer Aquatics Center in Riverside.
