IRVINE, CA --- Both Concordia soccer teams open their home schedules this
weekend, and they'll do so in classic fashion, at the first-annual
Eagles Classic.
The No. 5-ranked Concordia men's team kicks off Saturday (Sept. 5) at 2 p.m. against Doane (NE) and plays again Sunday (Sept. 6) against No. 11-ranked Hastings (NE), as the Eagles look to improve on a 2008 season where they finished in the NAIA Opening Round.
The women, who have gone 1-1 so far, get their home season underway Sunday against Doane, starting at 4 p.m.
Both teams are led by first-year Director of Soccer
Chris Gould, who played two years in a Concordia jersey before graduating in 2007.
