Jon Carlson scored the golden goal and threw in an assist for good
measure, as the NAIA's No. 13-ranked Concordia blanked Point Loma
Nazarene by a 3-0 score in the Eagles' conference opener Wednesday.
The win is Concordia's second in a row after dropping two straight, as the Eagles improve to 5-3 overall and start the Golden State Athletic Conference season with a 1-0 record.

Jon Fahey for the game's second goal in the 20th minute, as Fahey headed in a lofted pass to make it a 2-0 game.
The Eagles stretched their lead to 3-0 at 35:26, when senior defender
Joel Smith tapped in his second goal of the season thanks to a pass from sophomore midfielder
Shanon Murphy.
Point Loma Nazarene goalkeeper Eric Leboffe nabbed four saves on the afternoon, including three in the first half.
Concordia next hosts Fresno Pacific this Saturday (Oct. 3) in a GSAC men's and women's doubleheader, with the women kicking off at 12 p.m. and the men kicking off at 2 p.m.
