SANTA CLARA, CA --- The
nation's No. 10-ranked Concordia pulled off victories in each of its
games, including a 7-4 win over No. 13 UC Davis, as play at The Rodeo,
hosted by Santa Clara University, concluded Sunday.
The Eagles (21-3) had also posted a 15-5 thrashing over NAIA opponent Fresno Pacific earlier in the day, as they finish the tourney with four wins, including three that came against ranked foes.
Sophomore driver
Duje Grubisic and senior driver
Jure Belamaric each netted three goals on the afternoon, but it was junior 2-meter
Milos Skaljac who stepped up for two goals against the Aggies, as the Eagles had five goalscorers combine for the seven scores in the win.
Concordia freshman goalie
Martin Babovic nabbed 15 saves on the day, including 12 against Frenso Pacific.
On the day, junior utility
Kevin Rice and senior utility
Tanner Remai, along with sophomore driver
Caleb Hamilton, each scored twice on the day.
Concordia, which eclipses its previous high-water mark in terms of season wins, at 21, next plays at Chapman this Friday (Oct. 30) starting at 4 p.m. in Orange.
