FULLERTON, CA --- Entering the final week of the regular season at fourth in the GSAC with two teams with losing records on the docket, the NAIA's No. 24 Concordia failed to capitalize on the first of those games, playing to a 0-0 draw with Hope International.

The tie is Concordia's second in the past four games, as the Eagles end the day at 9-5-2, including a 5-2-2 mark in Golden State Athletic Conference play.

Hope International, which was just 3-22 all-time against Concordia entering the day, comes away with a mark of 5-8-4, 0-7-2 GSAC.

Sophomore goalkeeper James Rammelsberg picked up the shutout in his first appearance since Sept. 17, as he turned away each of Hope International's four shots on-goal on the afternoon.

Concordia out-shot the Royals by a 20-13 margin, including 10-5 in the second half, but Hope International keeper Matt Fike nabbed 10 saves to keep the shutout intact.

Senior defender Joel Smith fired away four shots, including three on-goal, while freshman midfielder Aaron Kasser started and put two shots on-frame along with senior forward Eric Mendoza.

Junior forward Roi Castro attempted four shots, but did not find the frame on the day.

Concordia finishes its regular season GSAC schedule with a matchup at California Baptist this Saturday (Oct. 31) starting at 2 p.m. in Riverside.
