IRVINE, CA --- Two days before the whistle blows for the first round of the GSAC Playoffs, seniors Jon Carlson, Jon Fahey, Adrian Martinez and Joel Smith have all four been announced as All-GSAC honorees.

The award completes a four-year all-conference run for Smith, who earned NAIA All-American first-team status last year and All-American honorable mention accolades in each of his first two seasons as an Eagle.

It's the third such award for Fahey, who was also named an All-American last year, and the second consecutive All-GSAC award for Martinez.

Carlson wins the award for the first time in his four-year career.

Fahey, tied for second on the team with four goals on the year, is fourth in school history with 32 goals, including four golden goals, while Carlson has scored three of his nine career goals as a 2009 senior, including the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Westmont Oct. 10.

Martinez is tied for fourth on the school all-time charts with 80 games played, is also fourth with 19 career assists, and has scored twice to go along with one assist in 2009.

Smith has scored 12 goals in his standout career as a defender, including three in his senior year.

Entering Wednesday's first-round tilt against Westmont with a 9-6-2 record, the NAIA's No. 24-ranked Concordia is looking to earn its fourth consecutive appearance at the NAIA National Tournament.

Wednesday's game kicks off at 2 p.m. at Eagles Field, on the campus of Concordia University. Admission to the event is $8 per person for adults and $5 for students with a valid ID card. (The price was originally announced as $10 per person but has since been changed in compliance with GSAC stipulations.)
