IRVINE, CA --- For the second time in as many GSAC Tournament showdowns, Westmont tallied a 1-0 victory to eliminate Concordia, as Westmont's Isaac Thompkins who scored just 1:02 into overtime to put the Warriors through to the GSAC Semifinals.

It was just the second goal of the season for Thompkins, who was making his second start of the year for Westmont (8-7), which advances to play The Master's this Saturday (Nov. 7) in Santa Clarita.

Concordia, which fell out of the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll in Tuesday's voting, ends the season at 10-6-2 with three losses in a four-game winless streak to end the campaign.

In a rematch of the 2008 GSAC Tournament Semifinal Round, which Westmont also won by a 1-0 margin, Concordia had perhaps its best chance to score on its first shot on-goal, in the 20th minute.

All-GSAC senior midfielder Jon Fahey ripped a shot to the right of Westmont keeper Matthew McNab, but the Warrior keeper made a lunging one-handed save as one of his six saves on the day, keeping it a scoreless game early on.

An attempt from junior forward Roi Castro hit the post in the 76th minute, and Westmont's best chance of scoring in regulation deflected off the post as well on a header from Doug Harrell in the 52nd minute.

Junior goalkeeper Mike Radchuk came up with five saves to hold the Warriors in check throughout regulation, but Thompkins picked up a through passs from Daniel Torres in perfect stride to set up the golden goal early in the 92nd minute.
