FRESNO, CA --- Top-10 finishes
from a trio of Concordia women powered the team to a fourth-place
performance, while freshman
Zachary Oliver came in sixth place to
highlight and typify a men's team that finished sixth at the GSAC
Championships.
The women were topped by sophomore
Violet Mokaya's third-place time of 17:52, and freshman
Jennifer Mallen came in eighth at 18:11 just ahead of the 10th-place finisher in sophomore
Rocio Pelayo (18:17).
Oliver's sixth-place time of 25:58 was complimented by freshman
Joshua Gomez, who came in 15th with a mark of 26:25 as the CUI men earned a sixth-place finish among nine teams.
The Eagles will next send qualifers to Vancouver, Wash., to compete in the NAIA National Championships Nov. 21.
