VANCOUVER, WA --- Sophomore Violet Mokaya posted a fourth-place time of 18:06, to lead six Eagle women, as the NAIA's No. 8-ranked Concordia came in ninth of the 32 teams represented at the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships.

All-GSAC Concordia freshman Zachary Oliver also competed in the event, coming in 235th with a time of 27:46.

Mokaya, also an All-GSAC selection, ends the season with four races led in just seven events throughout the year. Freshman All-GSAC recipient Jennifer Mallen came in 27th with a time of 19:10, while another All-GSAC honoree, sophomore Rocio Pelayo, ran a time of 19:30 to finish 46th on the day.

Junior Amy Lund cut the tape at 20:05 to earn a 92nd place finish, while senior April Harris came in 142nd with a mark of 20:42.

It was the second year in a row that the Concordia women finished eighth at the meet, and the fifth time since 2004 that the Eagles have finished in the top-10.
