LA MIRADA, CA --- Biola's Jennifer French grabbed 12 rebounds and scored 16 points, including eight points in the game's first four minutes, as Biola pounced on Concordia with a 12-2 run to start the game en route to handing the visiting Eagles a 73-52 loss Saturday night.
 
Concordia falls to 9-6, including 2-5 in Golden State Athletic Conference play, as they hit just 28 percent (19-for-68) from the field, including a 19 percent (6-for-31) clip in the first half.
 
Biola (9-6, 5-2 GSAC), which received votes in the most recent NAIA poll, went into halftime with a 39-17 lead and held a 20-point lead for all but 1:03 of the second half.
 
CUI was led by 14 points by junior center Lindsey Kingsland, while junior guard Tyler Howard and senior guard Kayanna Nichols posted seven points apiece in the loss.
 
Aside from a dominate night by French, Biola's Jessilyn Conicelli scored 16 points and hauled down nine boards, as Christina Barclay notched 11 points and six rebounds.
 
Overall, Biola shot 44 percent (30-for-68), including 42 percent (5-for-12) from beyond the arc, compared to a 5-for-21 (24 percent) CUI effort from long range.
 
Concordia, still looking for its first road GSAC win, will next take on the NAIA's No. 4-ranked Vanguard this Tuesday (Jan. 19) in Costa Mesa, starting at 5:30 p.m.
