FULLERTON, CA --- Five players finished in double-digits, led by 14 points from junior guard A.J. Gasporra, as the NAIA's No. 4-ranked Concordia ended its losing streak at two games in an 82-53 win at Hope International in Golden State Athletic Conference play Tuesday night.

The Eagles improve to 20-2 overall with the win, including 10-2 in GSAC play after dropping from the No. 2 position in the weekly NAIA ratings earlier in the day because of last week's losses.

Hope International falls to 4-17, including 0-12 in GSAC competition.

CUI turned the ball over just seven times, the lowest giveaway total for the Eagles in eight games, and shot 55 percent (30-for-55), the team's best clip in six contests.

Gasporra and senior guard Terrence Worthy hit three treys apiece as the team knocked down nine triples on the night. Worthy scored 11 points.

Sophomore center Andre Murillo tacked on 13 points, meanwhile, as sophomore forward Cameron Gliddon and senior forward Dominic Cruz-Duncan chipped in 10 points apiece.

The Eagles benefited from 21 turnovers by the Royals, and trailed for less than a minute overall, a disadvantage that was erased on a Gasporra three-pointer to tie the game at 9-9.

CUI went into the locker room with a 10-point lead, at 35-25, and out-scored HIU 47-28 in the second half to rack up their biggest win of 2010, at 29 points.

Concordia next hosts Westmont this Thursday (Feb. 4), starting at 7:30 p.m. at CU Arena.
