LA MIRADA, CA --- The NAIA's No. 3-ranked Eagles dropped just two games in singles play and didn't have much more trouble in doubles action, as Concordia picked up a 9-0 win over Biola to start its Golden State Athletic Conference schedule.
Concordia is now 2-0, including 1-0 in GSAC tilts, while Biola falls to 1-2, 0-1 GSAC with the loss.
The closest match of the day came from the No. 3 position in doubles play, where the tandem of Ryan McNamara and Jan Guler earned an 8-5 victory over Biola's Ryan Adams and Nicholas Lazar.
CUI won the other two doubles matches by identical scores of 8-3.
The Eagles next play the NAIA's top-ranked Fresno Pacific a week from today, Saturday (Feb. 20), starting at 12 p.m. in Fresno.
