BAKERSFIELD, CA --- After suffering an 18-11 loss in the opener against Santa Clara, Concordia rebounded to post a 10-6 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay at the Roadrunner Tournament Saturday.
 
The Eagles (3-2) were paced by junior driver Sam Gelberger and junior 2-meter Calli Manderino in the win over the Otters, and junior goalie Lauren Biberston stabbed nine saves on the day.
 
Manderino scored four goals over the first two periods of the nightcap, as the Eagles built up a 6-0 lead by halftime. Gelberger then scored three times in the third period to give Biberston and the defense a 10-1 lead to work with entering the final eight minutes.
 
Gelberger and junior driver Lybov Tchougounova each netted four goals in the loss to Santa Clara, which had built up a 9-3 advantage by halftime.
 
Concordia next plays at NAIA-rival California Baptist this Tuesday (Feb. 16) at 3 p.m.
