AZUSA, CA --- Senior Aybuke Keehn and sophomore Tanya Brammer each qualified for a second event at the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships at Saturday's APU Qualifier, bringing Concordia's total to eight events overall.
 
Keehn, who had already punched her ticket in the 1,600 meters, ran a time of 5:09.22 in the mile to finish second at the meet and qualify for her second consecutive indoor meet in the mile.
 
Keehn's time was just three seconds behind that of Biola's Nychele Fischetti, who took first place in the event.
 
Brammer, who qualifed in the long jump at Westmont Invitational last weekend, cleared 1.65 meters to finish second in today's high jump and qualify for her second consecutive appearance at the national meet.
 
Freshman shot-putters Caleb McCurry and Shane Tucker reached distances of 52' 6.00 and 47' 7.75 to earn first and third-place finishes, respectively.
 
The Eagles next compete at the APU Last Chance Qualifer a week from today (Feb. 20) at Azusa, starting at 9 a.m.
