LAGUNA HILLS, CA --- After both players went three sets and came up empty against the NAIA's top-ranked Fresno Pacific Monday, Bruno Santarelli and Ryan McNamara both bounced back with victories to help No. 3 Concordia bounce back with a 7-2 win over No. 6 Vanguard.

The Eagles (3-1, 2-1 GSAC) split a pair of tie-breakers on the day, as No. 3 singles player Kareem Berdai was downed by Tino Brodar, but McNamara held the No. 5 spot with a 6-2, 7-6 (4-0) victory.

"I'm very proud of the way our teams responded to their close losses at Fresno," head coach John Norton said. "The teams played long matches in Fresno, they were on the road for five hours last night, they got little sleep and they came to the courts ready to compete today.

"This was a great win against a very strong Vanguard squad."

Concordia next hosts Hope International this Saturday (Feb. 27), starting at 10 a.m. on the campus of Concordia University.
