SAN DIEGO, CA --- Although it lost all but one in doubles competition, the NAIA's No. 3 Concordia won all but one in singles play to post a 6-3 victory over No. 12 Point Loma Nazarene in Golden State Athletic Conference play Tuesday.
Concordia improves to 5-1 on the season, including 4-1 in GSAC, while the Sea Lions fall to 2-5, 1-5 GSAC with the loss.
Andrey Potapkin squared off against Point Loma's Curt Wheeler in the only three-set match of the day, coming back to win by scores of 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 to hold the No. 2 position.
The win is Concordia's third in a row, after the Eagles swept Hope International in a GSAC tilt Monday.
Concordia next plays Redlands tomorrow (March 3), starting at 1 p.m. in San Diego.
