ST PETERS, MO --- Just one event into the 2010 NAIA National Championships at St. Peters Rec-Plex, the NAIA's No. 4-ranked Concordia women have already crowned a new national champion, while the No. 3 CUI men were awarded NAIA Champions of Character team honors.
Christine Runkle's mark of 225.50 in the 1-meter boards earns Concordia its first-ever diving event in men's or women's, and Runkle still has the 3-meter board competition Friday (March 5).
The NAIA National Championships continue Thursday, with the men's 1-meter boards starting an action-packed day that features the 200 IM, 50 free and 800 free relay among six events total on the first full day of competition.
