COSTA MESA , CA --- In its first appearance at the GSAC Tournament since the 2007-08 campaign, Concordia's second-half effort in its 95-67 loss to the NAIA's No. 3-ranked Vanguard could be something to build on for next year.

Trailing by a 56-30 margin at the break, Concordia kept pace in the final 20 minutes, scoring 37 points to Vanguard's 39.

The Eagles end their season at 12-17, while the Lions improve to 23-2 and move onto the GSAC Tournament Semifinals against Biola this Friday night.

Before the game, it was announced that eight Eagles were named GSAC Scholar-Athletes, the highest total from any team in the conference.
