ST. PETERS, MO --- Entering the final event at the 2010 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships with its eyes set on fourth place, Concordia's men came up with a first-place swim in the 400 free relay, as both the Eagle men and women finished fourth at the meet.

The men's 400 free relay was comprised of Eric Anderssen, Conner Luster, Craig Brazier and anchored by Mike Perry, and added 40 points to the Eagles' total, allowing them to pass up Savannah College of Arts and Design for fourth place in the meet's final event.

The Concordia men finished with a grand total of 428.5, compared to 421 points scored by SCAD, which finished fifth in the race.

Concordia's women held on for a fourth-place finish, with 393 points, 20 of which were scored by two-time champion Christine Runkle, who was named the female Outstanding Diver of the Meet.

In the 200 breast, Alison Berrien posted an All-American swim of 2:22.23, finishing in second place.

Ana Gomez swam a fifth-place time of 2:08.15 in the 200 back, while Valerie Thorp swam in the final heat as well, touching out at 2:09.69, for eighth place.
