IRVINE, CA --- The Eagles lost just two sets in doubles and 10 sets overall in their fifth shutout of the year, as the NAIA's No. 3-ranked Concordia downed No. 15 Westmont by a 9-0 margin in Golden State Athletic Conference play Monday.
The win improves Concordia to 7-2, including 5-2 in GSAC play, while the Warriors fall to 3-5, including 3-3 GSAC.
No. 2 singles player Bettina Radke played the closest match of the day, but still posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Ilissa Matthews.
The Eagles next host No. 10 Azusa Pacific this Wednesday (March 10), starting at 2 p.m. at CU Tennis Courts on the campus of Concordia University.
