IRVINE, CA --- The play of No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles athlete Ryan McNamara came up huge again for the NAIA's No. 3 Concordia, which pulled out a 6-3 win over No. 8 Westmont in a Golden State Athletic Conference tilt Monday.

The Eagles improve to 8-1 with the victory, their sixth in a row, and also move to 5-1 in GSAC play, while the Warriors fall to 4-3, 3-3 GSAC, with the loss.

"Westmont's men are a very tough team this year, they're rising in the national ranks for a reason," reigning NAIA Coach of the Year John Norton said. "Ryan McNamara was a standout in singles and doubles play. He has been a dominant force for us at No. 5. He's moving well and he knows when to attack."

McNamara held his No. 5 spot with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Mattias Neuman to hold the advantage at 4-2 Eagles in singles play, and paired with Jan Guler for an 8-2 win in the No. 3 doubles position to secure a 2-1 Concordia victory in doubles.

McNamara is now 8-1 on the season in singles and 6-3 in doubles.

The Eagles next host No. 5 Azusa Pacific this Friday (March 12), starting at 2 p.m. at CU Tennis Courts on the campus of Concordia University.
