KANSAS CITY, MO --- It took Robert Morris (IL) three years to avenge its quadruple overtime loss in the Semifinal Round of the 2006-07 tourney, but it finally happened tonight, as the NAIA's top-ranked Concordia was hit with a 67-64 loss to eliminate the Eagles in the Second Round.

Concordia ends its campaign at 31-4 overall in its fourth consecutive appearance at the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championships, while Robert Morris (21-10) moves on to the Quarterfinals.

"That was the best regular season that we've ever had," head coach Ken Ammann, the GSAC Coach of the Year, said. "It was a great team. We had great, unselfish seniors. It was the most enjoyable season I've ever had coaching, and it's just a shame that we couldn't go farther. We got beat by a good team."

The Eagles held as much as a 10-point lead in the first half, but went into the break trailing at 40-39 after a running trey from Robert Jones, who scored a game-high 22 points.

Concordia held a 63-57 lead with 5:16 left to play after a jumper by GSAC Player of the Year Justin Johnson, but did not hit another field goal the rest of the way to allow Robert Morris to end the game on a 10-1 rally.

Robert Morris, which entered the season ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, out-shot the Eagles by a 45 percent (25-for-56) to 32 percent (22-for-68) margin on the night, and Concordia shot just 24 percent (6-for-25) from beyond the arc, including a 1-for-10 effort in the final 20 minutes.

Junior guard A.J. Gasporra led the team with 19 points, going 3-for-5 from three-point distance, while sophomore forward Cameron Gliddon chipped in 11 points.

Jones finished with a double-double (22 points, 11 rebounds), while Jacolby Hardiman scored 15 and Yamani Ball scored 10 points to lead Robert Morris.

The game marks the final game in a Concordia jersey for two Concordia seniors, Dominic Cruz-Duncan and Terrence Worthy.

Cruz-Duncan led the team with 4.3 rebounds per night and scored 5.5 per game as a senior, making 31 starts.

Worthy is a three-time All-GSAC selection, earned NAIA All-American second team and honorable mention honors in 2008 and 2009, respectively, and ends his career with a school-record 118 wins over his brilliant four-year career.

Worthy's 314 career steals are the most in school history, and ends his career as the third-leading scorer in school history with 1,258 among several notable accomplishments as an Eagle.

"The kid is a winner," Ammann said. "We're not going to be able to replace him."
