FRESNO, CA --- Concordia picked up a pair of wins over NAIA foes, but came a victory shy of its first NAIA National Invitational title, falling by a 16-8 tally to California Baptist in what turned out to be the title game Saturday afternoon.

Concordia ends with its highest win total in school history, at 14-13, and it's the second year in a row that the Eagles have finished second in the NAIA National Invitational.

Aside from the loss to California Baptist, the Eagles posted an 8-7 win over Azusa Pacific earlier in the day, following a Friday performance that featured a 13-6 win over Fresno Pacific and an 11-4 victory over club program UC Santa Cruz.

Sam Gelberger scored 11 goals over the weekend, while Calli Manderino and Lybov Tchougounova netted eight tallies apiece.

Goalie Lauren Biberston nabbed 22 saves on the weekend.

The Eagles end the season with 33 wins in their three-year history, including 25 over the past two seasons.
