IRVINE, CA --- With the summer sun beating down from coast-to-coast, nine returning Concordia ballplayers and 16 Eagles who intend to appear in the 2011 Eagles roster are playing in collegiate summer leagues in four different states across the U.S.

Ryan Day, who has logged nine strikeouts in five no-hit innings so far this summer.

Ryan Hanson is also serving as a head coach for the River Valley League Hawks of Dubuque, Iowa, where 2011 sophomore infielder Shayne O'Connell plays alongside three teammates who red-shirted in 2010 but are expected to see significant playing time in 2011.
