IRVINE, CA --- Concordia's top two singles players, Augusto Elias and Andrey Potapkin, were both named 2010 ITA All-Americans for their respective singles play, while Potapkin joined his doubles partner Bruno Santarelli as an All-American doubles pair.
The ITA All-American list reflects the Top-20 NAIA singles and Top-10 NAIA doubles performers, and Concordia's selections highlight a team that finished in the NAIA National Championships Quarterfinals for the second year in a row.
Elias went 10-10 overall from the No. 1 singles slot, and he went 8-6 during Golden State Athletic Conference play. He also went 14-6 in doubles and won 10 matches in a row to start the season along with his partner, Kareem Berdai.
Potapkin went 15-5 from the No. 2 singles position, including 11-3 in GSAC play, and combined with Santarelli to go 16-5 from doubles, including 9-5 against GSAC competition.
Santarelli went 17-3 in singles competition, and finished 16-5 in doubles alongside Potapkin.
