PORTLAND, OR --- Sophomore goalkeeper Bekah Garvin turned away six shots, but the NAIA's No. 3-ranked Concordia-Oregon kept banging at the door and scored two goals each in a pair of flurries to down the Eagles by a 5-0 final in the season-opener.

Garvin faced three shots in the first 11 minutes of the game, including one on-goal, and was under fire the rest of the way as well, as the Cavaliers out-shot the Eagles, 18-6.

Concordia-Oregon's Alex Thomas scored the game's first goal in the 22nd minute, then was followed up by a tally from Kelton McFadden in the 23rd minute to put the Eagles in a 2-0 hole at halftime.

The Cavaliers scored again in the 54th minute when Tahlia O'Loughlin collected a carom from her own shot and tucked it away to make it 3-0, and they scored again a minute later, when Jackie Hendrickson headed in a cross to the right-hand corner post to make it 4-0.

Kaitlyn Tebbs then scored the fourth goal of the match for Concordia-Oregon at the 73-minute mark to make the final score 5-0.

Concordia senior midfielder Hayley Partridge attempted three shots for the Eagles, who put only three attempts on-frame on the night.

The Eagles next play Southern Oregon this Sunday (Aug. 22), starting at 12 p.m. at Concordia-Oregon.
