
After a successful first season as head coach, where her team went 41-21 and advanced to the NAIA Softball National Championships for the first time since 2006, Crystal Rosenthal returns for the second season at her program's helm.
Rosenthal was promoted to her current post prior to the 2009 season after serving as an Eagles assistant coach for seven years.
Under Rosenthal's leadership, the Eagles turned around a two-year trend where they finished with a record well under .500 in Golden State Athletic Conference play, as they tallied a 15-9 conference mark.
Before coaching at Concordia, Rosenthal spent time as the varsity assistant
coach at Calvary Chapel High in
A four-year player at Concordia, Rosenthal was a team captain for two seasons. She ranks among the top ten in 15 categories for single-season and career marks. Rosenthal posted 151 hits, including 21 doubles and five triples and knocked in 81 runs.
She was inducted into the Concordia Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008 for her career performance on the diamond.
Rosenthal prepped at
Rosenthal earned her bachelor's in history and political science from Concordia, graduating in 2000, and earned her master's in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia in 2006.
Rosenthal lives in Aliso Viejo.
