Mike Oseguera - Assistant Coach - 1st Season
Assistant Coach
After serving the past year as a graduate assistant for Concordia's men's and women's soccer teams, Mike Oseguera begins his first year as a full-time assistant coach for both programs.
A four-year student-athlete at NCAA Div. I University of California Berkley, Oseguera was named an All-Pac-10 honorable mention as a 2003 sophomore, and he was on the Pac-10 championship team in 2006.
At Cal, Oseguera trained under former U.S. National Team goalkeeper Henry Foulk, who has sent five goalkeepers to the professional level in only eight years. Oseguera played 18 games as a redshirt freshman in 2003 and posted a 0.96 goals-against average.
Oseguera began his coaching career as a goalkeeper coach and graduate assistant at Cal State Fullerton in 2007, and coached at Patedores FC in 2007-08. He currently serves as goalkeeper coach for Irvine Strikers Soccer Club.
A standout at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Oseguera currently serves as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for Premier Development League member Orange County Blue Stars.
Oseguera holds a Class "D" license and has trained goalkeepers who have played at eight different four-year institutions, including University of San Diego and Virginia Tech.
Oseguera lives in Huntington Beach, where he attends Calvary Chapel Refuge.
