Expectations

The Athletic Training Student is chosen on quality of character and performance. You will be expected to perform your best in both the classroom and clinical settings. The student will also be expected to act and dress professionally because your actions and appearance directly influence perceptions of our program and our profession.

Time spent in the athletic training room will be treated as a class and a job. It is a learning situation, but the schedule dictated by our profession may not follow the traditional university schedule. Therefore, students may be expected to work weekends or holidays when the university is traditionally closed.

EXSS ExpectationsAll students must adhere to the NATA Code of Ethics. As a student of Concordia University, you will also be required to uphold the mission of the university and pursue learning, service and leadership. With this said, the priority list for an Athletic Training Student at Concordia University looks like this:

  1. God
  2. Family
  3. Coursework
  4. Athletic Training Room
  5. Everything else. . .
