The Athletic Training Program at Concordia University, Irvine is
designed to educate undergraduate students who are interested in
pursuing a career in the field of sports medicine. The mission is to
provide a didactic and clinical education program that will prepare
students for professional careers as Certified Athletic Trainers.
The Athletic Training Program at Concordia University, Irvine is designed to:

- Produce competent athletic trainers for employment in educational, clinical, industrial and professional settings.
- Prepare students with the basic skills and knowledge required for the entry-level Athletic Trainer.
- Promote professional and ethical conduct at all times.
- Provide students the opportunity to develop their skills in the classroom and in the clinical setting.
- Continually update the curricular offerings to provide students current knowledge in the field.
- Provide high quality instruction in the classroom and clinical settings.
- Assist students in gaining employment or entrance into graduate school.
- Promote the concept of establishing professional contacts by attending professional and educational meetings.
- Foster the affective, caring side of athletic training.
- Uphold the mission of Concordia University by encouraging students to learn, serve and lead.
The Concordia University Athletic Training Program is
accrediated by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training
Education (CAATE).
