Concordia University Irvine Compliance

Compliance with NAIA and NCAA rules is of the highest priority for our athletics program and institution. As a member of the NAIA transitioning to the NCAA, Concordia University Irvine is responsible for the actions of its boosters and fans. Even the best-intentioned action on your part may be a violation of NAIA or NCAA rules. Please contact the Compliance Office if you have questions regarding what is permissible. We encourage our boosters and fans to "Ask Before You Act".

The mission of CUI Compliance is to provide a comprehensive compliance and monitoring program that promotes knowledge of and adherence to NAIA, NCAA, Golden State Athletic Conference and institutional rules and regulations among members of the athletics department, student-athletes, CUI personnel and members of the athletics community, thereby reducing infractions that otherwise may occur.

NAIA Eligibility Center

Student-Athletes who wish to play an NAIA championship sport for the first time in the 2014-15 academic year must register with the NAIA Eligibility Center prior to participation.

Registration is for student-athletes who have never played a championship sport in the NAIA.  If you have previously competed in the NAIA, your continuing eligibility is determined by the member institution which you are attending.  The NAIA Eligibility Center checks the initial academic eligibility of all graduating high school seniors and 2 or 4-year College transfers for all NAIA institutions.  Students are able to register with the NAIA Eligibility Center at any time throughout their high school or college career.  All academic records (high school transcripts and test scores for student-athletes in their first year of college only) and a non-refundable fee are required for registration.

For NAIA Eligibility Center information and required registration materials students should visit the PlayNAIA website or their high school/college guidance counselor.

Student athletes who wish to play sports at Division I or Division II schools must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. The Eligibility Center checks eligibility and amateurism status for all Division I and II schools. Students are able to register with the Eligibility Center any time during their high school career. It is recommended that student-athletes register prior to the end of their junior year and update their record after each semester and again immediately following graduation.
