As an Eagle

Kathy Carroll set the bar high for what has become a long line of outstanding Concordia softball players to come through the program in the last 15 seasons.

Carroll still stands as the only three-time All-Golden State Athletic Conference selection in program history.  She helped the Eagles to a pair of 30-win seasons during her four seasons, including a 8-4 conference mark in 1990 that produced the only conference title for the program.

She burst onto the scene in 1989, batting .468 with 72 hits, 13 doubles and 35 RBI.  Carroll finished her standout career with an overall batting average of .363, good for fourth on the all-time career list.  She is also among the career Top 10 with 91 RBI (3rd), 22 doubles (5th), 214 total bases (5th), 30 extra-base hits (7th), 147 total hits (9th), and 19 stolen bases (10th).

While earning a host of accolades on the field of competition, Carroll also succeeded in the classroom and was the first-ever NAIA Scholar-Athlete in program history.
