Cal State Fullerton alumnus Matthew Fahey starts his fourth season as an assistant for Concordia, the 2011 NAIA National Champion.                                        

Fahey will be working with the catchers and helping the offense under the tutelage of assistant coach Joe Turgeon.  He serves as the first base coach and will assist in defensive positioning.

During his five years (including one as a red shirt) as an outfielder for the NCAA Div. I powerhouse Titans, Fahey made three trips to Omaha, Neb. (2006-07 and 2009) to play in the NCAA College World Series.

Fahey spent his first three years playing under head coach George Horton before playing his final two seasons under current head coach Dave Serrano, a coaching tandem that each earned National Coach of the Year honors by Baseball America.

Fahey graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2009 with his bachelor's in kinesiology and earned his teaching credential from Fullerton in the spring of 2010.

Fahey earned his master's degree in coaching and athletics administration in the spring of 2012.
