IRVINE, CA --- Thanks to a combined shutout by two freshman hurlers in the finale, Concordia earned its second twin bill split in a week against the NAIA's No. 2-ranked Point Loma Nazarene, falling by a 5-1 tally in the opener before recovering with a 2-0 victory in the nightcap.

SAN DIEGO, CA --- The Eagles made the most of a 7.1 inning, two-hit shutout performance from senior left-hander Bennett Whitmore to knock off the NAIA's No. 2 Point Loma Nazarene by a score of 4-0, but lost a 5-1 lead in game two to fall, 7-5, in the second end of a GSAC split.
