When starting a new program, ones expectations are usually somewhat tempered, but that evidently does not apply when launching a men's volleyball program in the hotbed of volleyball talent that is Southern California.

Concordia defeats Park to claim first NAIA National Championship

Six teams from five different states traveled to Denver, Colo., this week for the 2013 NAIA Men's Volleyball National Invitational Tournament Championship, presented by Tachikara this Thursday, Apr. 18 through Saturday, Apr. 20 on the campus of Johnson and Wales University.

The #2 Concordia Eagles entered their first NAIA National Semifinal in school history on Friday night, April 19, on the campus of Johnson and Wales in Denver, CO.  Awaiting the Eagles was the #3 seeded Warner Royals of Lake Wales, FL, who were making their second-straight semifinal appearance in the NAIA National Invitational.  Concordia kept rolling as they beat the Royals 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-16).
